Q. What did you do to improve the Shoe Pouch™?
A. To improve the durability and security of the Shoe Pouch™ we redesigned the lace attachment loops to be extra durable nylon, added Velcro® over the insertion slit, and upgraded the neoprene and stitching technique. The original tight, secure, neoprene sensor holder design remains.
Q. What else do I need to use the Shoe Pouch™?
A1. The Shoe Pouch™ is designed to work with the sensor from the Nike+iPod Sport Kit®, which is sold separately. And the Sport Kit only works any Apple® iPod Nano, including the newest 3rd generation iPod Nano, which is also sold separately.
A2. The Shoe Pouch™ is also designed to work with the sensor from the Nike+ SportBand®, which is sold separately. The Nike+ SportBand is a new product that you can use the Nike+ SportKit without an iPod. The Shoe Pouch™ will allow you to use the sensor with any lace up shoe.
Q. Is the Shoe Pouch™ waterproof?
A. The sensor from the Nike+iPod Sport Kit® is waterproof and very durable. The Shoe Pouch™ itself is made of neoprene and is water-resistant. Since the sensor is designed to be under your foot inside specially designed Nike® shoes, it can be exposed and still function in sweat, rain, etc.
Q. Do I get a tracking number after I purchase from you?
A. You will receive a delivery confirmation number, which will indicate whether a delivery has been attempted. This number will be included in your shipping confirmation email. We use the US Postal Service (USPS) for delivery, as this minimizes the shipping cost charged to you. We normally ship your package via USPS First Class, and on average it will take 4-7 business days to arrive if you live in the United States, and 7-20 business days if you live elsewhere. We also offer expedited shipping for our US customers, which reduces the delivery time to 2-3 days. Occassionally, delivery is delayed because of bad weather, holidays, or just plain bad luck. If you are having delivery problems, please contact us.
Q. What are your tips for accuracy of the sensor?
A. Be sure your sensor is in the Shoe Pouch™ with the Apple and Nike logo facing up (towards your head or the sky). The sensor is designed to be snug in your shoe, so it should be laced with all 4 points to your shoe. The Shoe Pouch™ also keeps the sensor in the correct longitudinal alignment. There is a calibration mode within the Nike+iPod software that can greatly improve your accuracy of your running distance. We suggest you calibrate it at the longest distance, which is currently 1.25 miles. When calibrating at the longer distances, your strides and pace will be more consistent.
Q. Can I buy the Shoe Pouch™ in a store?
A. Yes, here is a listing of our US retail and International retail locations.
